Lahore, Pakistan

The United Religions Initiative Pakistan organized a gathering at the Lahore Peace Center. After an introduction to the SOPP, prayer leaders from three major faiths led prayers for peace, and then two of the guests delivered messages on the topic of peace. A group of students performed a scene showing the devastating effects of terrorism, and the program continued with a poetry reading, a peace song, and the prayer of St. Francis of Assisi. Participants also joined in a flag ceremony to pray for peace in all countries, and sang peace songs together.
