BYAKKO SHINKO KAI

Host organization of the SOPP

Byakko Shinko Kai is an international grassroots organization founded to support the world peace prayer movement that originated in Japan in 1955 under the leadership of Masahisa Goi. Byakko is a Japanese word meaning ‘white light,’ and the organization is dedicated to the realization of world peace and the elevation of humanity’s consciousness.

Byakko Shinko Kai offers a number of easily accessible spiritual practices for interested people. These activities are centered around the universal prayer and message May peace prevail on Earth and also include INs (mudras), written mandalas, and expressions of positive thinking and gratitude to nature, among others.

Outside of Japan, a worldwide network of Byakko ‘satellite’ groups regularly hold prayer ceremonies, workshops, retreats, mandala exhibits, and other events. More and more people are learning about Byakko’s simple, accessible teachings and practices and incorporating them into their daily lives.
